College-Level Studies & Assessment

Offering motivated students the opportunity to earn college credit and placement

Today's students face unique challenges as they prepare for college and careers. From the demands of high school to an increasingly interconnected global society, students need more than a standard curriculum to meet the challenges of the twenty-first-century workplace.

The Advanced Placement Program® (AP®) and the College-Level Examination Program® (CLEP®) support motivated students seeking college-level course work that will grant them college credit.

Both AP and CLEP are the most trusted, widely used programs of their kind, offering college-level studies and assessments that:

  • Engage motivated students with college-level course work
  • Provide students with the opportunity to earn college credit
  • Allow students to place out of college courses, saving them time and money as they work towards their college degree

The Advanced Placement Program (AP)

The Advanced Placement Program provides college-level course work to motivated high school students. Through 34 different AP courses and their corresponding AP Exams, millions of students have earned college credit or placement while still in high school.

College Level Examination Program (CLEP)

CLEP gives students of a wide range of ages the opportunity to demonstrate college-level knowledge through a program of exams in undergraduate college courses. CLEP helps these students save time and money as they satisfy proficiency requirements and demonstrate subject mastery.
