About the College Readiness Systems

About the College Readiness SystemThe mission of the College Readiness Systems™ is consistent with that of the College Board—to connect students to college success and opportunity, with a commitment to excellence and equity in education.

Our goal is to create college readiness systems that enable all young people in our country to be fully prepared for college, with a special focus on serving those young people who have been and continue to be underserved.

Our vision

Our vision is to see all students across the country graduate from high school with the knowledge and skills necessary to enter college and to be successful in the postsecondary environment.

Our philosophy

School districts and schools implementing College Readiness Systems models are committed to increasing students' college access and success through:

  • A culture focused on student success
  • High expectations
  • Equity and access
  • Rigorous, high-quality academic programs
  • Ongoing professional development
  • Extensive and effective use of data to improve teaching and learning
  • Personalized college planning and preparation
  • Developmental supports for students to individualize their learning experience

Work that supports this philosophy can change the futures of countless numbers of young people, and it can change the face of American education.
