Accent on Achievement
The Academy for College Preparation and Career Exploration at Erasmus is designed to promote academic excellence and to guide students along a path to self-discovery that will lead them to successfully complete college and select the career best suited for their talents and true potential. Our personalized education plan begins in grade 6 with an emphasis on mastery of English language arts and mathematics and career exploration at summer institutes. At the Academy for College Preparation and Career Exploration at Erasmus, we establish clear and high expectations for all students in a nurturing, safe, and supportive learning environment through cooperation between our highly qualified staff, who willingly serve as advisers, and our students and parents. The uniqueness of our school lies in the nature of the academically rigorous curriculum that links the academic subjects to real-life situations through the numerous internships, mentor programs, and community service programs developed according to the career path selected by each student.
The Circle of Family and Community
A safe, respectful, and welcoming school environment is a hallmark of the Academy for College Preparation and Career Exploration at Erasmus and the result of the successful cooperation of faculty, staff, and students. Family and community also play a vitally important role in the education of our students. The active participation of parents and guardians is a critical component of our students' academic success and emotional well-being. Parents and guardians, as well as students, are expected to sign contracts clarifying expectations and responsibilities as active members of the school community.
