Working to make financial aid more accessible

"Helping more Americans to become college educated will improve our nation's economy and its civic life and make ours a fairer society" (Rethinking Student Aid Study Group, 2008). This core belief drives College Board Advocacy's work in the area of college affordability.

Through our college affordability initiatives, we offer recommendations to restructure and simplify the student financial aid system, with the aim of making enrollment and full participation in the college experience possible for all students. We also provide data for institutions and policymakers intended to shed light on the current state of college prices and student financial aid and describe trends over time.
