For Coordinators
PSAT/NMSQT Coordinator activities
If your school is administering the PSAT/NMSQT for the first time and does not already have a School Code, you should request one as soon as possible.
The following timeline describes other key activities for PSAT/NMSQT Coordinators:
April (or when a new School Code is assigned)
You will receive a PSAT/NMSQT registration announcement via postal mail. This announcement contains your School Code, your ordering access code, and instructions for ordering test materials.
April–September
Your school should identify one PSAT/NMSQT Coordinator to order materials for your school. U.S. schools may order materials for the 2013 PSAT/NMSQT anytime from early April –September 27; schools outside the United States may order anytime from early April–September 18.
Note: Schools are encouraged to order materials by June 28 so they can receive Official Student Guides (which contain a practice test and helpful information for students) by early September. Schools that order after June 28 will receive Official Student Guides with test materials.
October
Administer the test on the day you signed up for, either Wednesday, October 16, 2013, or Saturday, October 19, 2103.
October
Return student answer sheets immediately after the test administration, using the instructions provided in the PSAT/NMSQT Supervisor's Manual.
December
Schools receive student score reports by early December.
December–January
Schools receive school reports and access to online reporting tools in December and January.
