Access & Diversity Collaborative Seminars
2008-09 Access & Diversity Collaborative National Seminars
Institutions face many challenges today beyond the economy. In the last five years there have been:
- four U.S. Supreme Court decisions on race in education, and
- three state voter initiatives seeking to ban the consideration of race and ethnicity preferences among public higher education institutions.
To help you meet your diversity-related enrollment goals in legally sound ways, the College Board has put together pragmatic strategies that will help you navigate the current landscape. Immediately following the Supreme Court decisions in the Michigan cases, the College Board’s Access & Diversity Collaborative began providing extensive training and policy guidance to member institutions. To date more than 1,500 higher education officials at nearly 400 institutions have chosen to take advantage of the opportunity to learn about best practices to achieve their access and diversity goals. These high-quality seminars have been called "one of the best professional/educational seminars" by satisfied attendees
