2011–2012 Events

Throughout the year, the College Board provides professional development opportunities for K-12 administrators, teachers and counselors worldwide. These events are open to current participants in programs such as AP and SAT, those interested in learning more about how to enhance their school curriculum, and admissions representatives at international and U.S. universities interested in recruiting international students.

Become an AP Reader!

The annual AP Reading is a weeklong event in which 10,000 experienced AP teachers and university faculty come together to evaluate and score AP Exam free-response sections from students around the world. For more information about this intensive collegial exchange during which you can receive professional support and training, visit AP Central to learn how to apply.

Readers are currently needed ONLY for the following AP courses:

  • Chinese Language and Culture
  • Environmental Science
  • Human Geography
  • Italian Language and Culture
  • Physics
  • United States History
  • World History

If you currently teach one of the seven AP courses listed above and have at least three years experience in teaching that course, we encourage you to apply to become an AP Reader.
