2014 Awards Nominations

Help us recognize the individuals in our region who make a difference. We are currently seeking nominations for the following awards.

Academic Leadership Award — Recognizes an individual who has advanced the mission of the College Board through advocacy for equity, excellence, access and opportunity for all students. Please consider nominating a colleague who promotes college readiness and the attainment of high standards for all students and has extended pathways of access to higher education for all children, especially underrepresented groups. Nominees must currently serve or have served with a College Board member institution within the New England Regional Assembly.

Community College Recognition Award — Recognizes an individual who has demonstrated outstanding past or present service to community college education while affiliated with a College Board member institution in the New England Region. Please consider nominating a colleague who exemplifies high standards, commitment, accomplishment and service through his or her length, breadth and quality of contributions to community college education.

Jolene G. Mitchell Service Award — Recognizes an individual who exemplifies high standards, commitment, contributions and service in the financial aid field. Please consider nominating a financial aid professional in the New England Region

New England Regional Assembly Recognition Award — Recognizes a program that has shown outstanding commitment to students and the field of education by enabling underrepresented students with academic and leadership potential to attend college. In order to be eligible for the award, nominated organizations may not have members on the regional council or the nominating committee.

Dr. Carlene Riccelli Assembly Leadership Award — Recognizes an individual who has continuously advanced the mission of the College Board and contributed to the New England Regional Assembly through high-quality service at the regional and national levels. Please consider nominating a colleague who inspires others, fosters outstanding team membership, and participates in College Board forums, workshops and conferences. Nominees must be affiliated with a College Board member institution within the New England Regional Assembly.

Edward B. Wall Award in College Counseling — Recognizes the service and leadership of two individuals (one counseling professional and one college admission professional) in the College Board’s New England Regional Assembly. Please consider nominating a colleague who mentors and supports the professional development of new college admission counselors and advisers, and advances the mission of the College Board. Nominees must currently serve, or have served, with a College Board member institution within the New England Regional Assembly.
