Workshop author
Carolyn Stone is an assistant professor and co-program leader in the College of Education and Human Services in Educational Service and Research-Counselor Education at the University of North Florida (UNF). Before going to UNF, she spent 22 years with the Jacksonville, Florida, public schools as an elementary and high school counselor, middle school teacher, and supervisor of guidance services. Ms. Stone's areas of research include legal and ethical issues in working with minors in schools and school counselors as leaders and advocates for student achievement. She writes a regular column on legal and ethical issues for ASCA School Counselor magazine and is the author of numerous articles and books on school-counseling-related legal and ethical issues.
