Announcements of upcoming AP workshops for professional development are mailed to schools.

Principals or designated school administrators should access their AP Course Audit accounts to renew 2008-09 previously authorized courses for the new school year. Teachers of new AP courses should be encouraged to participate in the AP Course Audit if they haven't already done so. For details, visit AP Course Audit Information .

September 2009

Schools receive AP Instructional Planning Reports for each AP teacher, which include class-specific data on how their students performed on the various topics within the AP Exams.

September 2009

AP Scholar Awards and AP International Diploma notifications are sent to students and schools.

September 2009

Schools receive annual AP participation materials.

September 15, 2009

Deadline for ordering free-response booklets from the 2009 AP Exam administration.

October 2009

Schools complete the annual AP participation materials and designate their AP Coordinators.

October 2009

Districts receive school AP Scholar rosters, if ordered.

October 2009

Rebate checks are mailed to AP Coordinators with AP programs testing at least 100 students.

October 2009

Free-response booklets for the 2009 AP Exam administration are sent to schools that have requested them.

AP Course Ledger of authorized 2009-10 AP courses is available on the Web.

Deadline for schools to return the AP Participation Form and Participation Survey.

The AP Program begins to mail the AP Coordinator's Manual, the Fee Reduction Policy, the Late-Testing Policy, a supply of the Bulletin for AP Students and Parents (available in English and, by request, in Spanish or large-type), and other information to schools that have submitted their Participation Forms.

December 2009

Principals receive the PSAT/NMSQT® Roster of Student Scores and Plans, which includes the AP Potential™ access code.

December 2009

AP Potential becomes available this month. Schools should check their PSAT/NMSQT Roster of Student Scores and Plans to retrieve their access code.

January 2010

AP Coordinators receive an email containing exam ordering information and can begin ordering exams online

Deadline for first-time AP Course Audit submissions, renewals, and all AP Course Audit form approvals for 2009-10 courses.

AP Report to the Nation is released this month.

Upcoming AP Summer Institutes for professional development are announced.

A roster of students approved to receive testing accommodations, such as extended time, Braille, and 14- or 20-point large-type exams and large-block (enlarged) answer sheets, is sent to schools.

Deadline for submitting complete disability documentation for students with disabilities when Documentation Review is required.

Schools may begin submitting AP Course Audit materials for new courses offered in 2010-11.

Deadline for submitting complete Student Eligibility Forms for students with disabilities when additional documentation is not required.

Orders are placed for preadministration materials:

  • Orders placed by March 10 will be delivered by April 2.
  • Orders placed between March 11 and March 31 will be delivered by April 12.

Priority deadline for schools to order AP Exams. Submit orders by this date to ensure timely processing and delivery.

AP Coordinators receive and check exam materials. Coordinators must provide Student Packs (or, alternatively, AP numbers and copies of the college code list) to AP Studio Art students as soon as possible after receiving exam shipments. Students will need this information when submitting their portfolios online.

SSD Coordinators receive updated rosters and Nonstandard Administration Report forms for students testing with accommodations.

Extension deadline for schools outside the United States, U.S. territories, and Canada to order AP Exams. Each order received after this date incurs a $50 late fee (excluding alternate exam orders).

Deadline for colleges to order Internet Delivery of Scores to receive scores via the Web in July. Requests received after May 14 will be accommodated with follow-up score reporting.

Deadline for AP Services to receive all exam materials. Schools are billed twice the fee for each exam in shipments received after this date.

Postmark deadline for exam payments and invoices submitted to AP Services. Late payments incur a $200 fee.

Deadline for AP Services to receive student letters to change college score report recipients and withhold scores for current year's exam administration. Students may cancel scores at any time, but June 15 is the deadline for canceling scores before the release of 2010 AP Score Reports.

Deadline for districts to order score reporting services.

Deadline for colleges and universities to change the score reporting services  ordered the previous year.

AP Score Reports are sent to designated colleges, students, and their high schools.
