Registering for CLEP
Register at any of 1,400 CLEP test centers
CLEP exams are offered throughout the year at test centers located at colleges and universities in the United States and abroad. Each of the 1,400 test centers sets its own testing schedule and registration procedure. Therefore, students should contact their nearest test center directly to register for a CLEP exam.
If your institution does not offer CLEP testing, your students can find a test center via the CLEP test center search.
Registration tips for students
- When you register to take an exam, be sure to ask the test center about:

- Testing schedule
- Parking/transportation information
- Some test centers may require you to fill out the CLEP Registration Form (.pdf/80K).
- If you have a learning or physical disability that prevents you from taking a CLEP exam under standard testing conditions, you may request special accommodations. For details, please contact the CLEP test administrator at the college where you plan to take the exam before you register.
- CLEP exams are administered on computer. If you require a paper-and-pencil CLEP exam administration, contact CLEP directly. Paper-and-pencil forms are available for 14 CLEP titles only:
