International Student SAT Registration

Registering for the SAT abroad

International students can register for the SAT in any of three ways:

  • Online
  • By mail with a copy of the SAT Registration Booklet, International Edition, which should be available at their school
  • Through an SAT International Representative (see below)

Students can search for an overseas test center in the Student area of this website. They should make sure to choose a center that is within reach of their home.

Students outside the U.S. may also visit an EducationUSA advising center in their city or region to learn more about college admission testing. Many also offer SAT registration materials and computers for students to register online.

Registering through an SAT International Representative

To register through an SAT International Representative, students must

  • Complete the paper Registration Form and enclose it in the registration envelope provided with the International Edition of the SAT Registration Booklet.
  • Print the name and address of the appropriate SAT Representative on the blank label provided, and place it on the envelope as directed.
  • Use an acceptable payment method, as listed in the front of the registration booklet. Representatives do not accept credit cards for SAT registrations.
  • Send the registration with full payment to arrive at the Representative's office by the early registration deadline. (For October, see the deadline given with the list of SAT International Representatives.)

Find the SAT International Representative closest to your students by clicking below on the region in which they live (these links take you to the student area of this website).

Not all countries have SAT International Representatives. For further questions, students should contact the nearest Overseas Advising Center.
