Steps to ensure that students test with their accommodations
SSD Online provides SSD Coordinators with a complete list of students who are eligible to receive accommodations on College Board tests. Please make sure that all students for whom an accommodations request was submitted are listed on SSD Online, both on the dashboard and the roster.
Additionally, each student’s Services for Students with Disabilities (SSD) number is listed next to the student’s name on the SSD Online dashboard. Students with approved accommodations should use this number when registering for College Board tests.
If you are not currently using SSD Online to access your students with SSD accommodation requests, their decision letters, and their SSD Eligibility Codes, please go to http://www.collegeboard.com/ssdonline and follow the instructions on how to set up an account and gain access to the application.
For specific test information, please see below:
- SAT®: If the student has been approved for accommodations after registering for the following College Board tests, verify that SAT® registration has been updated showing non-standard administration by calling SSD customer service at (609) 771-7137. Because appropriate arrangements at a testing site take time, it is extremely unlikely that a change request can be applied to a test if it is made less than two weeks before a test date, or if it is the result of an eligibility request received and determined to be complete after the published deadline. For more information about accommodations on the SAT, please visit SAT.
- PSAT/NMSQT®: The SSD Coordinator in the school will receive a Nonstandard Administration Report (NAR) that lists all students who may be taking the test and who are receiving accommodations. Newly-approved students can be added to the list before you return the Roster to the College Board. Please be sure that these students have a valid SSD Eligibility Code before you add their names to the list. For more information about accommodations on the PSAT/NMSQT please visit PSAT/NMSQT.
- Advanced Placement Program® (AP®): The SSD Coordinator in the school generates and prints an AP Nonstandard Administration Report (NAR) at SSD Online for each AP student approved for accommodations. A completed NAR is required for each AP Exam taken with accommodations, so please print extra copies or make photocopies for students taking multiple exams. The SSD Coordinator completes the top portion of the NAR (including the College-Board-approved total testing time, for students approved for extended time) and provides the NARs to the AP Coordinator. For more information about accommodations on the AP Exam, please visit AP.
